      Controlled wine hydrometer

Hydrometers are used to measure the density of the wine at 20° C. Readings are taken at the meniscus summit
To measure the density of dealcoholised wines, sweet wines and musts, a set of 5 hydrometers is used, with scales ranging from 1000 to 1150.

These instruments are controlled by the National Test Laboratory and meet the ISO and AFNOR standards.

It is mandatory to use these hydrometers with a controlled ‘Régie’ 0-35°C or 0-50°C per ½ °C thermometer.

These instruments are made of soda-lime glass for optimum thermal exchange and therefore greater precision.
